Importance of Education

Education is the development for the abilities of human's minds, it is the process for facilitating learning skills, values , beliefs and knowledge.

Importance of education in human life:

  1. Ability to read and to write: one of the simplest abilities that education can affect the human life which is the ability to read and to write . When you are able to read , you will be able to recognize letters, numbers , words and you will be able to write your own topics. So , you will be able to read newspapers,  signboards in streets , in restaurants , public places.  Also, reading and writing will help you to know what's happening around , if you are searching for a job , you will be able to read the signboards in restaurants or in places which offer jobs so you will not be able to lose the job because you weren't knowing about it.
  2.  Communicating with others will be easier: We are all familiar with the social applications such Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others. Moreover, we are learning new techniques in computers using the applications found in google apparatus. We are able now to communicate with our friends this blog that I am using now. What's amazing is that you can communicate with others even if you were in another country.
  3. Expressing your opinion and point of views: When you are using certain techniques and applications , you will be able to express your opinion using these applications. Nowadays, we are not leaving our phones because we are able to communicate and express our opinion without seeing that person we talking to him.
  4. Ability to serve the society:  Education helps the society to be more effective and practical. It enrich the society with different majors such as teachers, engineers , medical services. So nowadays, when you feel sick , you will go to a doctor and even if you are tired psychologically you will go to a psychological doctor.
So as a conclusion , we are nothing without education .

Why Sky is Blue using Physics

It is easy to see the sky blue.
Have you ever ask yourself why?

Image result for why sky is blue

The sunlight looks white to human being but actually it is a mixture of the colors of the rainbow.
What are the colors of the rainbow?
Image result for prism with colors of rainbow
  • Red
  • Orange
  • Yellow
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Violet
These colors are called visible spectrum which mean that they are seen by the eye of the human being.
We can see these colors when  the white light  passes through the prism ( triangle in the figure) , the light is separated to all of its colors. As we all see that the colors are different and in physics is explained because of the wavelength. Each color has it's own wavelength.
As the white light of the sun travels through the Earth's atmosphere , this white light collides with the particles of earth.Because of these collisions we have these different colors or different wavelengths.
How the sky becomes blue?
These colors are scattering in all directions. Since the blue component of the spectrum has shorter wavelength than the red component of the spectrum , the sky looks blue.

So, when the sun is high in the sky , blue light is scattered in all directions as sunlight passes through the atmosphere and we see the sky blue.

Special Theory of Relativity

 Definition:

The Special Theory of Relativity is a theory where various physical phenomena depend on the relative motion of the observer and the observed objects. In other words , it explains how space and time are linked together for objects moving in a constant speed. It is developed by Albert Einstein.
Image result for explanation for the postulates of the special theory of relativity

Postulates:

  1. There are two postulates for this theory:The laws of physics are same in all inertial frames. This is the principle pf relativity.
  2. The speed of light in vacuum is constant and same as observed from all inertial frames. This is known as the principle of constant of speed of light.
The first postulate of the Special Theory of Relativity relates to the reference frames. A frame of reference  is a set of coordinates used to determine positions and velocities of objects in that frame; different frames of reference move relative to one another.

There are two types of frames:

Inertial Frame of Reference

An inertial frame of reference is a frame where a body moves with constant speed or remains at rest with respect to other frame of reference. An inertial frame of reference has a constant velocity so the acceleration is zero.

Non-inertial Frame of Reference

A non-inertial frame of reference is a frame where the body is accelerated without the act of the external force.
As a conclusion, the laws of physics are same in all inertial frames of reference.

The second postulate is related to the speed of light which equals to 3x10^8 meter/second and this speed is the same in  all inertial frames.

ADHD

Many students used to forget  and finish their duties , stay all the day dreaming and even making actions without thinking about the consequences. Such students are called Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
We will introduce the symptoms , causes and effects for ADHD.

Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Symptoms:

  • Hyperactivity
  • Impulsive
  • In-attention
It is not necessary to have all of these symptoms in students with this disorder. Many studies prove that the ADHD appears at young ages .

Causes:

  1. Genetic : This is the main cause of this disorder. If the Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity disorder is running in the family , then it is possible to have a child with this disorder.
  2. Physical: When children born with low weight or when the mother smokes during pregnancy increases the risk of having an ADHD child .

Effects:

  1. Social isolation: The children will be unable to make bonds with others and with his or her peers.
  2. Feeling with stress and depression.

How can you deal with them:

  1.  Hands on activities:  Let them use their hands as possible so you solve their hyperactivity problem .
  2.  Few amount of duties: Give them a few amounts of homework and when they forget it ask them to do it again.

Challenges Faced by the Teacher

Image result for problems faced by the teacherEvery teacher likes to create valuable generations, but that's not easy . The teacher may face many challenges in the classroom. The three main challenges are:

1-Balancing the different learning needs of students:

Each student is unique so each one understand with his/her own way. The teacher in her classroom should should accept her students' abilities ,  students' personalities and  either their way of thinking and receiving information. For example , you my find in a classroom a students who takes notes , others like the teacher to wrote on the board , others like to listen ... So as a conclusion should meets her students needs in his/her classroom.

2. Respecting expectations from school admins:

Not only do teachers have to ensure that each student in class is learning and engaged, we also have to make sure that we are in line with the goals of the school. We as teachers should ensure that our students are not only learning the information but also we are achieving the schools' goals . The teacher should let the students experience new things other than educating them. She / He should let the students encourage them to share in the school's activities so they will be able to take decisions in their life.

3. Helping parents and students meet long-term goals:

It is important to guide my students and let them  open their eyes for their futures.  The teacher should ask her students about their dreams , and encourage them to believe in themselves and in their abilities. You as teacher can ask your students about their problems that they are facing , and you are available to help them in order to feel safe, Even the teacher should communicate with the parents so the student's problem's will be solved easily.

Teaching can be challenging at times, but as long as you really care about your students and really want help them, both with the materials in your class and their struggles outside your class, it can also be very rewarding.

Reflection on the webinar attended

The webinar that I attend was about " Encouraging Physical Activities in Preschoolers" and was done with Doctor Sanders on Tuesday February 27,2018.

We always see that students when they move , they may hit their foot with the table or fell down.

In this webinar , In order to decrease these movements that lead the students fell , he  was encouraging the usage of the  motor skills  which allow  students to use their bodies in  playing  and learning  new things in life. Preschoolers is the stage before children enter schools, and as we all know children use their skills to move , to play and to learn. Also, these skills are called loco motor skills . Are you familiar with such skills ? These skills are the movements where the body travels from one location to another. There are two types , one is called by even rhythm loco motor skills and the other is the uneven rhythm loco motor skills . Even rhythm loco motor skills are skills such as  walking, running, jumping, hopping, leaping, whereas  the uneven rhythm loco motor skills are skills such as  skipping , galloping and sliding.  Such skills help children in many domains physically and socially.
We all know that our classrooms are not useful for such skills so we need to give signs specific with each skill  to help our children know which skill we will use. Moreover, we should knowledge our students with when and where we should apply these skills.

Being a Successful Teacher

The teacher is the person who relates and communicate in a positive way with her students and you should follow some strategies to be more ...
